Residents

We are currently seeking a fourth resident for our beautiful home! The home is set up as a shared housing model where each family owns a quarter share in the house.

Hillside Haven was built to accommodate four adults with developmental disabilities and house parents. The house is built on 6 acres and features beautiful living spaces with high ceilings, open concept kitchen/living/dinning rooms. The Resident owners all have separate bedrooms with ensuite baths. The house parents also have a beautiful bedroom with ensuite bath. The media/movie room is spacious and comfortable for the Residents and their guests. Wraparound deck, BBQ and a beautiful view of the valley, mountains and Mount Rainier.

The care philosophy of Hillside Haven encourages positive reinforcement with respect to each Resident. We strive to integrate a healthy lifestyle with a clean, wholesome diet and a rich and fulfilling life for all the Residents. In addition to to living in their own shared home the residents have the opportunity to attend The Trellis Center, a community center created to support the residents of Hillside Haven, Sunridge Ranch 1- 2 and 3. At Trellis they learn gardening, farming, life skills and to be part of a greater community where they make life-long friends.

Hillside Haven is located central Washington, just outside of the college town of Ellensburg, just 2 hours east of Seattle. The climate in Ellensburg is semi-arid with low rainfall. Hillside Haven was designed to promote independent living for the four residents. We utilize smart-home technologies that protect and support the residents.
